Grouse Mountain and Capilano Suspension Bridge Tour

day 2 - A las 10 horas
Head out into Canada’s endless backyard with an exciting day trip to the Peak of Vancouver, Grouse Mountain and the Capilano Suspension Bridge and Park.

Highlights
- Cross over one of the world´s longest suspension footbridges
- Experience a birds-eye view of the park on a treetop adventure
- Take a skyride to the top of Grouse Mountain, a staggering 3800 feet above Vancouver

Cross Lions Gate Bridge and into the pristine North Shore Mountains. Your first stop is Vancouver’s first tourist attraction – The Capilano Suspension Bridge and Park. Here you can cross the one of the world´s longest suspension footbridge, which hangs 70 metres above a spectacular river canyon, among the tops of the lofty Douglas firs. Guaranteed to get your heart racing, this exhilarating experience has been drawing brave visitors to the park since 1889.

There’s more to explore in the park. The Treetop Adventure is a series of smaller suspension bridges, giving you an opportunity to experience life in the canopy from a woodpecker or chipmunk’s perspective. And for the ultimate perspective, the new cliffwalk attraction lets you ‘hang out’ over the Capilano Canyon itself. This incredible walkway hugs the cliff face and offers 360° views of the gorge below.

Then, push deeper into the rainforest to the Capilano Salmon Hatchery. Learn all about one of British Columbia’s largest industries and the lifecycle of the West Coast salmon. In season you can even see them battling upstream to spawn. Your final destination is the Peak of Vancouver, Grouse Mountain. Take the Skyride up above the clouds to the top of the mountain, 3800 feet above the city of Vancouver. There’s time to wander the trails, drink up the view and see the traditional chainsaw carvings. If you’re lucky you might catch one of the seasonal events, such as lumberjack shows, sleigh rides or ice-skating. Your head will still be in the clouds long after you return to downtown Vancouver.

Highlights
- Keep your eyes peeled for Killer and Humpback whales
- Admire the beautiful coastlines from a unique perspective
- Travel in comfort aboard the Explorathor or Express Zodiac vessel

Join our Professional Wildlife Guides for a 3 to 5-hour whale watching tour, starting in the picturesque West Coast fishing village of historic Steveston and traveling through the spectacular Gulf and San Juan Islands. Our extensive whale spotting network, has given us a 90% sighting success rate. Our whale watching tour focuses on Southern Resident Killer Whales, Transient Killer Whales, majestic Humpback whales, and other marine wildlife such as porpoises, sea lions, seals and bald eagles.

Our vessels are expedition style Zodiacs specifically designed for marine mammal viewing. They travel over the top of the water instead of pounding through it increasing passenger comfort and safety as well as reducing the chance of seasickness. Our Explorathor (open) and Express (semi-covered) vessels use water jets which are extremely safe for marine mammals.

Vancouver Whale Watch provides passengers with the adventure of a lifetime through excellent customer service, first class vessels, the highest possible safety standards and added value from an on-the-water education of the west coast eco-system.
